Swindon College - Learning Difficulties & Disabilities Unit Refurbishment

Edifice have been apponted to provide design and project managment duties, for M & E Services associated with the complete refurbishment of the existing LDD Unit at Swindon College.

With a budget of £1M, the extensive refurbishment is to be undertaken during the course of 2014 and is set to vastly improve the environment & experience of users of this highly valued facility.

St Bede's Catholic College

Following the preparation of sustainable energy information for planning permission to build a new Sixth-form block, Edifice Design were appointed as M & E Consultants for the construction of the new £1M block.

The project is nearing completion on site, and is to be fully occupied for use following the summer holidays.

St Joseph's C of E VA Primary

Edifice have been apponted to provide design and project managment duties for the complete refurbishment of the existing heating system within the existing school.

The project has been tendered and Phase 1 works are due to be started on site in Easter, with completion in the Summer holidays.

Oakford House Apartments, Bath

Edifice Design have been appointed to undertake design duties, and ongoing technical assistance for the construction of 14 new luxury apartments in central Bath. With some apartments expected to be marketed circa £1M, and indeed occupied by the developer, there is no room for error.

The project has offered some unique challenges, due to location constraints and renewable energy targets requested by the Cleint, but innovative solutions have been designed involving a centralised Heat Pump system, and heat interface units within each apartment.

The project is currently being constructed on site, and we look forward to working with all parties to ensure the delivery of spaces for luxury urban living.

Stogursey & St Benedict's Primary Schools

Edifice Design were appointed by both Schools (in conjunction with The Church of England Diocese of Bath & Wells) to undertake design duties, and project management duties for the phased replacement of heating distribution pipework & heat emitters throughout both Schools.

The projects have offered some unique challenges, due to the nature of undertaking works within short periods and fitting in with the school term breaks, and fitting a new system into listed buildings.

The projects have largely been completed with building users reporting greatly improved temperatures throughout both sites. The last phases are due for completion in teh Easter Hoildays.
